Almost there!

I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth...although I feel like I am at the weirdest end of the Earth! I had the opportunity to do Golden Eagle biomonitoring in a pretty remote location with no internet....which is why you haven't received an update in the lab notes.

I have been plugging away at scaling the covariates. I ended up running a few of them many times only to discover some inaccuracies so, I reran them all! I'm happy with the scaling and going to run the species distribution model next...then fit the model. I am really hoping to present this work at the Raptor Research Foundation conference in South Africa...that all depends on funding.

Sorry no exciting photos to share; data analysis is exciting to me by not the most exciting subject of photos.

About This Project

This is part of a larger project that answers the question of why Golden Eagles choose their nest sites in Arizona. Currently, there are no documented studies quantifying Golden Eagle nest site selection in Arizona. This multiscale analysis is essential for understanding the natural history of Golden Eagles in a desert ecosystem. The results from this study will be the foundation of knowledge in which to build on in the future.
