Greetings!

This project is the brainchild of three high school students at Baxter Academy, for technology and science, Portland, ME. Starting in Mid-July 2016 we began brainstorming projects for the upcoming school year and eventually decided to work with dart frogs. At the time it was nothing more than a fascination with the animal but eventually evolved into an obsession! While our goals have changed we have decided to conduct an experiment to determine what is the best way to take care of these wonderful animals. While the overall journey and proposal process has been a long and hard fought one we are finally ready to start fundraising. We ask you the reader to lend a hand and donate to our cause. If you can't donate you can still share this project with friends and family to get the word out.

Regards,

About This Project

The goal is to examine the effects of various environmental stimuli on Ceratophrys ornata, commonly known as the Pacman frog. We will be utilizing multiple methods including EEG monitoring, pulse, and weighing to monitor the stress levels. Examples of environmental stimuli are cycling of lights, temperature, humidity and tank sizes.

We will be purchasing the necessary supplies with the money provided. Oversight will be provided by a veterinarian and teachers.

Blast off!
