Formal acceptance from McMaster University!

Dear Friends,

I just wanted to let you all know that I've finally heard back from McMaster University and after 6 weeks of waiting they've given me the green light to start my project!!!! The only hitch is that they require me to cover all my lab funding :( A little frustrating but I believe in this idea so much that I'm willing to live poorly for 6 months just so I can make it happen. Pending my business visa, am hoping I'll be over there in the next couple of months! I may try one more smaller fundraiser before then to hopefully raise another couple of 1000 so stay tuned.

Once again I thank you all so much for your generosity....you have all given me courage and a new found determination.

Will keep you posted!

Natalie :)

About This Project

Endangered species, like snow leopards and tigers, are hard to identify and track using the time consuming and expensive methods currently available. This project will revolutionize the ability to rapidly identify species by developing an easy-to-use kit to determine the DNA within their remains for the quick and accurate identification of illegally trafficked species, and identifying feces of animals in remote locations; crucial for conservation efforts.

Blast off!
