The Grab-Bag for #SciBlogReaders - Donate Physical Perks

Hi all!

For those folks interested in this project who can't justify pledging cash, we'd like to invite you to help us in another way.

If you are a scientific organization, media organization, blogging network, science non-profit, or even an individual interested in the results of this project, please help us by now donating actual physical perks! We will take T-shirts, pens, posters, but especially digital perks that don't required shipping such as digital content subscriptions (digital newspaper subscriptions, magazine subscriptions, free e-books, etc.), coupons (to your content, subscriptions, membership fees, etc.), digital artwork (#sciart), special access to your content, etc.! Anything that you think would interest people who read science blogs, we would be happy to use as survey incentives/perks.

If you'd like to donate a physical or digital "perk," please e-mail Paige at paigebjarreau@gmail.com, or tweet her @fromthelabbench. She will give you an address where you can mail physical perks, and will be collecting digital perks (such as digital artwork, coupon codes, etc.) via e-mail.

This way, you can support this project to survey science blog readers with promotional goodies that might also benefit you!

Thank you for your support!

About This Project

Who reads science blogs? Why do readers engage with science blogs, and what do they get out of the experience? These simple questions have surprisingly not been answered before! Blogs are an important component of many people's science information diets. It's time we understand readers' experiences with science blogs, and perhaps work to improve those experiences.

*New perk for backers - For a $150 pledge, I'll survey your own blog readers & report the data!

Blast off!
