The bonsai is so striking....do you know how old it is?

For the non-botanist, this was a great balance of practical, colorful, and arcane info. The photos were incredibly useful for getting to know this interesting tree.

Speaking from complete ignorance, my favorite is the weeping boer bean for the beauty of its flowers. (And, after looking it up, it seems it has many beneficial properties, too, including medicinal, woodworking, and dyeing.)
