We are FINALLY flying!

We've had a bear of a time getting the Solo to work with the Canon S100 camera we chose to survey with. The camera was causing magnetic interference with the flight controller, and the computer wo...

Hey Denny. We used a 3D printed mount plate that goes in the gimbal bay of the SOLO. You can check it out here at http://www.impconcepts.com/impstore/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=91. As for flight times, that is one of the next tests we are going to do. People with this setup are getting 15-17 minutes depending on flight characteristics though. We won't need to fly very far away because current law demands that we don't fly beyond line of sight (So in a creek, this is pretty short). But I could potentially fly a couple thousand feet laterally from the controller. The whole system is capped at 400 ft altitude as per current law. The S100 will definitely be enough to spot the salmon redds -- we aren't actually looking for live fish, we are looking for their spawning sites. This is way easier than looking for swimming, live fish. Thanks for your comment! And sorry for the wall of text, this text platform doesn't allow for the separation of paragraphs!
