Big Pharma may just find a way to package ketone bodies and sell it if it hey see a profit in it. I read a few years ago that some researcher at the NIH was trying to get funding for a clinical trial using ketone bodies for Alzheimer's research to try to improve brain function. Since then, I have not heard anything about it.

Any idea if hemangiosarcomas also show the Warburg effect? We had a dog who we discovered had Stage IV hemangiosarcoma, and our vet gave him less than a month to live. We put him on a ketogenic diet rather than have him undergo chemotherapy and radiation since the prognosis was so dismal, and he lasted three more months. It might be wishful thinking on our part to think that his diet actually prolonged his life, it sure felt like it did back then.
