Experimental Protocal

Specific instruments and data sources to be used to collect all of the different data required for each research question are the Balloon Analogue Risk Task, the Short Blessed Test, the RT (clin), and an automatic sphygmomanometer. R1 is blood pressure. For subjects’ blood pressure systolic and diastolic pressure will be collected pre and post-testing through use of a sphygmomanometer and recorded. The unit of measure is mmHg,which is millimeters of mercury. R2 is reaction time. Reaction time will be measured in units of time. The amount of seconds it takes to release and catch a falling object will be recorded via stopwatch. R3 is risk aversion. Risk aversion will be measured through use of the BART whose unit of measure is adjusted average number of pumps on unexploded balloons and recorded for pre and posttests (Lejuez, 2015). R4 is memory. Memory pre and posttest will be measured using the Short Blessed Test. The SBT is scored on a quantitative scale of 0-10 with a normal cognitive range from 0-4 (Carpenter, et al., 2011). It should be noted that a change score will be calculated in relation to each research questions values using pre and post testing data.
