    Good questions Oscar. As per ethical standards, our participant's information will be shared with no other than the researchers (which in this case is myself, my advising professor and perhaps an assistant to be determined later on). We're going to use the CESD-R (center for epidemiologic studies depression scale revised) which is a reliable and valid questionnaire in addition to a myriad of other measures that will help us look for moderating and mediating variables in the depression contagion effect/process. As far as letting them know if they have depression or not: That is something I will need to discuss with my adviser as the study progresses.

    Great stuff, Joao! Question: how will you determine whether one of the roommates (in a roommate pair) suffers from depression? I'm assuming you get this from the questionnaire. In that case, will you encourage them to get a more formal diagnosis/treatment? Or will the results be completely anonymized? Keep up the great work :)
