We've updated the next two workshop dates! Happily, our fruit bowls' growth is still looking good, for the two still in lab - maybe we will dry down and un-mold next week? We also are making progress for the metagenomics and have some initial sequence results - a comparison of oyster mushrooms shows they are already quite diverse for the mITS1/4 region (from 56% identity down to 42% identity!).

For Olivier's presentation Weds night, we again had about a dozen people show up (some repeats), including teachers and another mycologist! Most likely the first workshop will be for mycelial growth, as we need to see how this goes before we order more for the barcoding etc... (and they seem to have at least a 3 week turn around time.) But, we will manage! Thanks to everyone who is donating, spreading the word, and helping plan!
