Dear colleagues, Thank you very much for the support provided to this project to help Townsend´s Shearwater. With the donations provided by birders, ornithologists, conservationists and general public we are now changing street lights at the naval base on Socorro Island to reduce light attraction. Any further donation at this point will help us implement two or three additional monitoring campaigns. Best wishes.

Thanks Angus and yes. At INECOL we have a stepwise program to secure the breeding areas of this species. The knowledge gathered over the years we will help us save this species together.

Thank you for contribution and donation. At this time, I will not share observations on ebird. There is another group that is trying to duplicate the monitoring work that we have done with the shaerwater for years and in doing so increasing the risks this fragile species faces. I will keep you updated on the progess.
