The results from this project will contribute to other researchers overall knowledge of sub-tropical reef communities. The results can be used as a comparison to other reef communities globally. Most interestingly, the proximity to the Indo-Pacific Warm Pool can be used as a proxy to evaluate the influence of warming waters on a reef community.

There are a few outcomes we are hoping for with this project; (1) Establish a robust list of all species present in the research areas, (2) Create a photo inventory of all species present in the research areas, and (3) Compare this sub-tropical reef community to other reef systems located in the Indo-Pacific.
