Hi Joey, great update, it sounds like things are going well. It's neat to hear you're in Stellenbosch! The herbarium here at OSU just got a gift of several hundred specimens from Pacific University in Forest Grove -- they apparently had a small teaching herbarium that had been forgotten in a closet. As you'd expect, the specimens are mostly from the Willamette Valley, but there are several dozen specimens from South Africa! They're mostly from Knysna and Stellenbosch from about 1900-1910. They're really well pressed and mounted, but none of the labels include a collector name. I'm really curious who would have done this collecting and how their collection ended up in Forest Grove!
