What the Community Team is About

We work with and for our community. We care about science more than just about anything else. We want to live in a world where anyone can be scientist. We will do whatever it takes to make this a reality, faster. We work extremely hard and make decisions quickly.

What You're About

You, you have strong opinions on what the future of science looks like. Your friends would say you’re determined to make this happen to the point that you seem to believe the outcome is inevitable. If you dream of talking to scientists all day about bringing their ideas to life, this role will be perfect for you. You are extremely patient, but straight forward when someone is clearly wasting your time. You care about getting things done fast and hold yourself to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Run experiments independently to understand our community and how we can best support their needs
  • Recruit the best scientists in the universe to run campaigns
  • Scientifically review and evaluate project proposals
  • Work with our community of scientists through the product and in person (events)
  • Required to learn to code, understand great design, and strive to become a respected scientist

Qualifications:

Ability and willingness to learn.

Because of the overwhelming interest that we've received for this position we installed a strict filter for candidates. We've designed a challenge to help you understand whether or not this position is something you could do day in and day out. Being on the community team at Experiment is not for everyone, but if you're up for the challenge and succeed you'll likely be a good fit.

Before coming in for an interview we require that all candidates onboard 3 scientists to launch projects. We measure success for this challenge by having at least one project reach the initial funding goal. You set your schedule, there is no time limit, and our team will help you every step of the way. It helps too if you've already contributed to the community with your own dollars; don't discount the $1 donation.

Before starting, send us a resume and cover letter to support@experiment.com and we’ll set you up with a point of contact to guide you through the process.

This is not a single position. We will hire as many candidates as we think are good. If you are still in school and interested in joining our team, you can get a head start. If you succeed you'll be considered for our student ambassador program.
