A day in the life

Lab Note #1
May 01, 2014
Greetings everyone!

An exciting update - we are hoping to be nominated to be one of CrowdSifter's top campaigns next week! We will definitely keep you updated, and post our link if nominated. CrowdSifter sources top crowdfunding campaigns from around the web and shares them in one spot. You can check it out here:   http://www.crowdsifter.co/.

For those who are interested, I decided to share a neat article about testing and developing an artificial pancreas. It provides a lovely perspective of what it would be like to take diabetes off the mind, even if for a few hours. Published in the January 2014 edition of Science Magazine, this is a great article by Daniel Clery on a 'Pancreas in a Box.' We hope you enjoy it as well! You can access the online pdf here.

From a "Pancreas in a Box," the picture below demonstrates one of the goals for an artificial pancreas: easier glycemic, or blood sugar, control. Our goal is to develop a reliable glucose sensing system that is both noninvasive and able to be incorporated into an artificial pancreas.

Thank you everyone for your support, and I look forward to sharing more exciting updates on Lab Notes! Additionally, feel free to follow us https://www.facebook.com/AzuriteTech
