Pledge $150 and stand a great chance to WIN a stunning "Raphael" canvas print...

Now here's an opportunity... As our campaign draws to a close I'm entering every major campaign donor ($150 plus pledged) into a draw to win a large Raphael canvas print (up to 30" x 40", or 76 x 100cm)*.... Amazing hey!? Okay, so Raphael is one of our study lions, not a famous painter, but it's still a really cool prize.

So far we have three backers in the draw, so you have great odds for a great prize, and of course if you have already backed us below $150, then you are extremely welcome to "top up" if you can, and I'll enter you in the draw too!

And finally, an additional incentive for those with a little extra cash... if you are able to donate $1000 to the project in the next two days, I will let you name the lion we ultimately collar! (and send you a large Raphael canvas print of course).

Please spread the word and let's have a final push as we enter the last 48-hours. We cannot fail now....

*(Note that I will only be able to fulfil this if the campaign is successful, but we only need another 7 donors >$150 to make this happen).

Increased my pledge as I really want this project to succeed. I was going to do it on the final day anyway but the prize draw is a nice touch. Good luck Neil!

About This Project

A major reason that lions are in decline is that many are killed every day in retaliation for eating livestock. As ambush predators, lions rely on stalking and surprise, so being seen by their prey usually means they abandon their hunt. In rural Botswana I will test whether painting intimidating eye patterns onto cows hides reduces livestock losses. If successful, this inexpensive tool will help to safeguard the lives of lions and the livelihoods of subsistence farmers alike.

Blast off!
