New Publications online

Pictures drawn by Sandruschka.de

Dear All,

I am very happy to share some great news with you:

The publication of our “GBS project” is online: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-09243-4 Our results suggest placentophagy of processed tissue is an unlikely source of clinical infection.

Further, a german article about placenta remedies in the context of integrative medicine systems is published: https://www.anthromedics.org/DMS-21476-DE

And we are very happy to start an international midwife survey about placenta remedies and placentophagy: https://t1p.de/SurveyMidwifes We appreciate if you could share the link with midwives and doulas through confidential midwifery information channels. Our main focus is on GB and USA but we are also happy if midwifes from other countries participate.

Soon there will be an open access protocol for placenta preparation available via this platform. We recently submitted our lab protocol at "protocol exchange" and will share it with you soon.

Many greetings

Sophia, Jana and the Placenta Lab team

Ps: Check out my new bike ;-)

About This Project

The human placenta contains a mixture of substances which may be useful for individual postpartum treatment. Until now, scientific research on the use of placenta remedies as a unique and cheap therapeutic treatment for women suffering from pathologies like anemia, depression or lactation difficulties, does not exist. To be able to discuss possible effects of placentophagy, the content of placental tissue has to be tested. The goal of this project is to analyze the hormones and elements from a sample size of 6 placentas to identify the bioactive molecules present.

Blast off!
