I was fascinated when I saw the ocean for the first time in my life! ...and I felt the same way when I obtained my Master's Degree in Biological Oceanography thirty years after! ...but when I was back in Nicaragua I realized that marine science facilities were absent ...and I was forced to work in the mainland during most of my professional life. Now I intend to change this situation because science matters, and because the young marine scientists from Central America want to work in the ocean.
