WOW! Thank you so much for your incredibly generous help. The funding award from Einsteinium has brought this campaign within inches of success and will provide essential early funding to advance this research. This is just amazing...thank you again so much!

Thank you very much for the kind words and for the (in no way small) support :-) Einsteinium is an awesome idea and I'm really glad for their work!

Walter, this is a tough question that might take years to answer, but I'm happy to help. When it comes to buying supplies, feel free to reach out to me at HappiLabs.org. We are former scientists helping scientists with shopping and finding the best pricing for supplies, so you can have more money leftover for other parts of the project. Keep up the good work, Tom Ruginis (@letUbeU)

Thank you very much for your support and for sharing information about HappiLabs.org. This looks really really useful and I will share your site with our Lab Manager (who is really interested in keeping costs down) and colleagues.

What are your next steps if you show that this works?
    Feb 26, 2014
  • Walter Moss
    Walter MossResearcher
Hi Arthur! The next steps, after we determine what these viral RNA molecules do in the cell (e.g. which genetic pathways they affect) is to figure out ways to inhibit their function. This can be done in several ways (e.g. antisense oligonucleotides or small molecules) and all of them rely on a robust knowledge of RNA structure. Thus, the outcomes of this project will be crucial to this effort. Thanks for your support!
