Protocol
This will be a between-subjects design where the explanatory variables will be: the subject’s numeracy score (measured from 0 to 9), and their the political party voting intention. The outcome variable is whether the participant interpreted the data correctly or not.
The survey will obtain standard demographic data from the participants, including a postcode to validate that they were Australian residents. Political party voting intention will be obtained
Participants will then complete a nine-question numeracy test developed by Weller et al. (2013). Participants will then be randomly allocated into either the control condition “skin cream” or a condition.
