- MakoBackerHello, Very interesting research you are doing. This topic has been on my mind for quite some time. With accidents happening locally in Vancouver, BC, and more recent accidents happening in cave country, FL. It's been a difficult thing to approach with other divers because of the lack of available research on why accidents happen, not just what happened. And people are quick to criticize fellow divers for human errors, with little sympathy. Seems like other adventure sports that see people pass away doing the activity aren't often treated with such disrespect as divers show one another. Looking forward to following your research!
