Hello Dan, thank you so much for your support! Yes, all workouts are being recorded so we will try to account for daily/weekly volume. Additionally, each individual will serve as their own control so we will compare individual differences between the two classes and try to make comparisons based on similarities like baseline fitness level and daily/weekly volume (reps, sets, weight lifted, etc.). Can't wait to share our results with all of our backers. Again, thank you for your support!

Great question Dean! We did/will gather baseline survey data from all participants that asks questions about their physical activity at baseline to help control for individual fitness levels. Also, each participant will serve as their own control as we are making individual comparisons from baseline to post-testing to help eliminate a training bias.

Jimmy, thanks so much for your interest! The traditional weight training course is designed to educate and promote an active lifestyle. The objectives of the course are as follows: • Know proper techniques for basic strength training movements • Be able to design and evaluate general strength training plans • Understand the basic principles of strength training for fitness • Set realistic attainable goals for yourself • Develop physical activity habits including recovery and maintenance • Understand gym etiquette The CrossFit class begins with an introduction to the basic movements used in CrossFit workouts with a focus on functional movements using the best aspects of gymnastics, weight lifting, running, rowing, and more. Each class focused on foundational principals of movement and includes a workout to really drive home what they're learning. Looking forward to talking with you more and sharing the results!
